Read the note ↘Memoirs of a Chinese restaurateur in Portugal, read through life’s changes and the I Ching.
If you can make ‘creation’ as natural as breathing, it is not because intention is absent; it is because all intention has already dissolved into the breath.Sam Wang

Feira Internacional de Lisboa, with its distinctive, expansive cable-supported roof and towering steel pillars, displays the character of modernist architecture.
In the setting sun, FIL looks like a great ship moored; its tall masts are gathering in enormous sails of cable.
The streetlamp in the centre of the frame resembles a lighthouse, watching over the international exhibition centre moored beside the Tagus.
“The setting sun is infinitely beautiful, though dusk is drawing near;”
Mountains joined: Keeping Still. The noble person’s thoughts do not go beyond their position.
Gen invites attention to one’s present place and moment. The author sees a ship gathering its sails; the voyage belongs to the gaze while the building remains still.
Dusk gives light a boundary. If every stop serves only the next departure, the present remains at the service of the future. Allowing a stage to end can itself offer rest.
Reading in briefA moment of rest can carry its own weight.Looking at FIL in the evening light, the busy pace eases. Xu Wei’s “漫步” accompanies this release: after travelling some distance, still being willing to stop and notice light on steel and trees.

Hello, I’m Wang Sanxiong — Sam 🤝
The book’s epigraph is my motto, and the starting point for how I understand life, restaurants, and entrepreneurship.
I am a Chinese immigrant living in Portugal, originally from Qingtian, Zhejiang, and a restaurant owner. I love architecture and the history behind it; I love the I Ching, and use Eastern wisdom to interpret the stories hidden behind history.
A battle for small and medium-sized restaurants to reclaim their own customer channels;
XIAOXIONG®; it is not an advertisement in this book. It is proof that, in the second half of life, I am still willing to change.
