If you can make ‘creation’ as natural as breathing, it is not because intention is absent; it is because all intention has already dissolved into the breath.Sam Wang

In Rossio dos Olivais, in Parque das Nações, stands a giant work of public art—the Iberian Lynx (Lince Ibérico).
The sculpture is assembled from discarded plastics, metals, rubbish bins, and old car parts collected from the city.
Created by the Portuguese artist Bordalo II, it calls attention to pollution, the damage human beings cause to nature and ecosystems, and the need to protect endangered animals.
“People cut down trees and turn them into paper; then print on the paper: ‘Save paper. Protect the forest.’”
A lake beneath the mountain: Decrease. The noble one restrains anger and desire. — Zhou Yi · Sun, Image
Sun directs reduction towards the desire to consume. Waste transformed into a lynx makes materials visible again, preserving both the whole’s beauty and its discarded origins.
Even a message about saving resources uses them. After the irony comes a question about necessary use and avoidable waste; recognising the contradiction allows concrete choices to change.
Reading in briefSee waste’s new form, and revisit consumption’s source.A lynx made of rubbish stands beside a busy street. When it comes to the environment, we should take a look at ourselves too;

Hello, I’m Wang Sanxiong — Sam 🤝
The book’s epigraph is my motto, and the starting point for how I understand life, restaurants, and entrepreneurship.
I am a Chinese immigrant living in Portugal, originally from Qingtian, Zhejiang, and a restaurant owner. I love architecture and the history behind it; I love the I Ching, and use Eastern wisdom to interpret the stories hidden behind history.
A battle for small and medium-sized restaurants to reclaim their own customer channels;
XIAOXIONG®; it is not an advertisement in this book. It is proof that, in the second half of life, I am still willing to change.
