If you can make ‘creation’ as natural as breathing, it is not because intention is absent; it is because all intention has already dissolved into the breath.Sam Wang

At night, Parque das Nações wears a veil of calm. Outside the window, the outlines of modern buildings and faint lights cast shifting patches of light and shadow across the glass.
Alone in the office late at night, there is no daytime bustle and no fuss over little things. The whole space is mine. A place to settle down, think through life’s next moves, and let my thoughts wander through logic.
“Being alone is paying the price of loneliness.”
In Return, may we see the heart of heaven and earth! — Zhou Yi · Fu, Commentary on the Judgment
Fu allows attention’s return to oneself to be read. Being alone makes room for thought and for repeating familiar explanations; silence provides conditions, while life tests conclusions.
“Paying for solitude” joins choice and cost. Having the office to oneself also reduces other people’s responses; recognising that exchange helps distinguish when to stay alone and when to reconnect.

Hello, I’m Wang Sanxiong — Sam 🤝
The book’s epigraph is my motto, and the starting point for how I understand life, restaurants, and entrepreneurship.
I am a Chinese immigrant living in Portugal, originally from Qingtian, Zhejiang, and a restaurant owner. I love architecture and the history behind it; I love the I Ching, and use Eastern wisdom to interpret the stories hidden behind history.
A battle for small and medium-sized restaurants to reclaim their own customer channels;
XIAOXIONG®; it is not an advertisement in this book. It is proof that, in the second half of life, I am still willing to change.
