If you can make ‘creation’ as natural as breathing, it is not because intention is absent; it is because all intention has already dissolved into the breath.

Section V — The Three-Hundred Store

That year, I spotted a gap in the three-hundred stores: shoes. Two months later, I had successfully lost all the money I had made from the internet café. I heard that the following year, everyone selling shoes in the wholesale market made a fortune.

Years later, I opened my own three-hundred store. I no longer remember exactly when. I am never good at remembering the dates of my failures. The shop lasted two years.

Whenever we went to buy stock, I sent the Portuguese manager inside to choose the clothes while I sat in a café. I often asked myself: “Do you really think you can run this business well like this?” I never answered. After it failed, I found the reason: I did not like the business. Back then, I still put a packet of sugar in my coffee. Maybe I was still young.

Decrease

Decrease and increase, fullness and emptiness, change with the times. — Zhou Yi · Sun, Commentary on the Judgment

Sun returns decisions to their circumstances. Others profiting the following year does not prove persistence would have produced the same outcome; the future cannot complete missing information.

Lack of interest is the author’s explanation. Delegating purchasing offers a concrete point for distinguishing interest, involvement and ability; finding one reason does not settle every question.

Reading in briefA loss can be reviewed; its causes still need distinguishing.

Hello, I’m Wang Sanxiong — Sam 🤝

The book’s epigraph is my motto, and the starting point for how I understand life, restaurants, and entrepreneurship.

I am a Chinese immigrant living in Portugal, originally from Qingtian, Zhejiang, and a restaurant owner. I love architecture and the history behind it; I love the I Ching, and use Eastern wisdom to interpret the stories hidden behind history.

A battle for small and medium-sized restaurants to reclaim their own customer channels;
The second half of life should be more exciting than the first — that is only reasonable;

【XIAOXIONG®】

XIAOXIONG®; it is not an advertisement in this book. It is proof that, in the second half of life, I am still willing to change.
